Track & Field events start tomorrow, but in the meantime, some history repeated itself....
Fiji obliterates Great Britain -...in the men's rugby final, that is. With a game that made the South Africa vs. Japan bronze medal match seem like a well-played Super Bowl, Fiji did the unthinkable and pulled off a huge upset against the Brits, winning 43-7 in what can only be described as a blowout. Guess I should take back what I said about them in my soccer comment all the way back on day two..
Another gruesome injury -An Armenian weightlifter got more than he bargained for when he broke his left elbow. Things got messy real quick, but like the gymnastics injury five days ago, he (the athlete) will be back in Tokyo. Once again, you can view it elsewhere, as I'd rather not post it here.
Missy's bad luck continues -Once a successful swimmer at the 2012 Olympics in London, Missy Franklin's luck still won't turn around. She recently missed the 200 meter backstroke, in addition to missing the 200 meter free and getting some luck by getting a gold in the 4 by 200 meter free relay. It's just been one of those Olympics.
Well, that's all for now. I'm going to have lots more material tomorrow when track and field begins, but until then, goodnight from your Olympic blog headquarters, ROMVIEWS.WEEBLY.COM!
